At the gym

It was raining outside today, so I ran at the gym. I ran 3km (16'42"), then walked and ran another 1.5km. The total workout time was a bit under 29 minutes.

I tried to keep my pace down by not looking at my pace or the time at all while running this time, thinking that keeping my eye off the clock would keep me from racing the clock. It didn't work; I took two minutes off my previous 3km time.

Also, I think my Nike + iPod kit is still not quite calibrated right. The gym's track is supposed to be 9 laps per km, but I ran a bit over 10 laps before my iPod told me I had run 1km. Oh well - I'd rather that it be underestimating how far I've run than overestimating.
